Plusieurs athlètes d’exception présents en Beauce du 19 au 23 juin
(St-Georges, QC – le 04 juin 2019) Le Tour de Beauce 2019 verra près de 120 cyclistes représentant 17 équipes en provenance de sept pays sur trois continents se dévoiler sur les routes pour remporter les ultimes honneurs de la 34e édition du Tour de Beauce.
Le champion en titre du Tour de Beauce James Piccoli (Équipe cycliste canadienne) sera de retour cette année pour y défendre son titre, refilant le maillot de l’équipe canadienne pour une deuxième année consécutive. Piccoli avait soutiré les grands honneurs du Tour de Beauce 2018 lors de la cinquième et dernière étape à Saint-Georges.
Deux autres anciens champions du Tour de Beauce seront aussi présents soit le letton Andzs Flaksis (Arapahoe / Hincapie p/b BMC) et l’américain Gregory Daniel (DC Bank Pro Cycling Team).
Au total, 17 équipes en provenance de trois continents sont inscrites, représentant l’Amérique du Nord, l’Europe et l’Asie.
Les partisans du cyclisme verront les deux meilleures équipes au classement des équipes du UCI America Tour, avec les formations pro-continentales Rally UHC Cycling et Floyd’s Pro Cycling Team impliqués dans une chaude lutte pour le sommet du classement. Ces deux formations sont dirigées par les canadiens Eric Wohlberg et Gord Fraser.
Les équipes continentales canadiennes Probaclac/Devinci et DC Bank Pro Cycling Team seront aussi de la partie. L’Équipe nationale du Canada, qui elle a remporté le titre de la meilleure équipe en 2018, sera présente une fois de plus cette année avec sept coureurs sous la tutelle du directeur sportif Kevin Field.
Les formations amateurs Ride with Rendall (Canada), VéloSélect-Apogée (Canada), Team BC (Canada), et ASPTT Nancy Meurthe et Moselle (France) seront également de la partie.
En provenance de l’Asie, les équipes XSpeed United Continental (Hong Kong), qui a comme tête d’affiche le canadien Ryan Roth, et Brunei Continental Cycling (Brunei) seront présentes sur la ligne de départ.
Sous sanction 2.2 de l’Union cycliste internationale (UCI), le Tour de Beauce constitue pour l’élite cycliste masculine un incontournable du calendrier international 2019, la plus importante course cycliste par étapes au Canada.
2019 TOUR DE BEAUCE ANTICIPATES A STRONG PELOTON YET AGAIN

(St-Georges, QC – June 04, 2019) The 2019 Tour de Beauce will see nearly 120 cyclists representing 17 teams from seven countries on three continents display their talents on the roads with the objective to win the ultimate honors of the 34th edition of the Tour de Beauce.
Defending Tour de Beauce champion James Piccoli (Canadian Cycling Team) will return this year to defend his title, returning with the Canadian National Team for a second consecutive year. Piccoli took the top honors of the Tour de Beauce in 2018 during the fifth and final stage in Saint-Georges.
Two other former Tour de Beauce champions will also be present: Latvian Andzs Flaksis (Arapahoe / Hincapie p / b BMC) and American Gregory Daniel (DC Bank Pro Cycling Team).
A total of 17 teams from three continents are registered, representing North America, Europe and Asia.
Cycling fans will see the top two teams in the UCI America Tour team rankings, with pro-continental teams Rally UHC Cycling and Floyd's Pro Cycling Team involved in a hot battle for the top of the standings. These two teams are led by Canadians Eric Wohlberg and Gord Fraser.
The Canadian Continental Teams Probaclac / Devinci and DC Bank Pro Cycling Team will also be there. The Canadian National Team, which won the title of the best team in 2018, will once again be present this year with seven riders under the tutelage of directeur sportif Kevin Field.
